This 3D-printed resin detail set brings replacement main wheels for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.II fighter model in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the wheels from the original kit with more faithful parts. The tires have a flattening suggested at the point of contact, so once glued in place the wheel looks realistically loaded by the weight of the aircraft on the ground.
The wheels carry a fine tread pattern and a crisp hub detail that injected plastic usually cannot manage. The set is intended for Hurricane Mk.II models in this scale; you simply swap the main landing gear wheels from the box for these more detailed parts.
First wash the print resin residue off the parts in warm soapy water. Cut them from the print supports with a saw or a knife, sand the faces smooth while protecting your airways, and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer before painting is advisable; to keep the flattened area where it belongs, glue the wheel in the correct position relative to the ground.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and as a set of resin parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
