An add-on part in 1:35 scale: the engine deck of the Sd.Kfz. 10 half-track tractor with a tarpaulin thrown over it.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sd.Kfz. 10 was a light German half-track tractor with a one-ton load capacity, that is the smallest of the family of German half-tracks of the Second World War. It towed light artillery and antitank guns, carried the crews and also served as a chassis for further bodies, so it appears on every front. Tarpaulins and shelter halves belonged to its ordinary equipment, and crews covered both the load and the machine itself with them.
This is a replacement part in 1:35 scale which represents the engine deck together with a tarpaulin thrown over it. It therefore replaces the corresponding part of the kit and changes the overall impression of the model, because softly rippled cloth looks markedly more alive next to flat sheet metal. The extent of the delivery, the number of parts and the kit the part is drawn for are given in the enclosed manufacturer's instructions. The part is not polystyrene, so it is glued with cyanoacrylate.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder, then wash and degrease the surface. Before you start gluing, try the seating dry and compare it with the part from the kit. A tarpaulin is painted differently from the sheet metal around it: a darker wash into the folds and a lighter dry brush on the tops of the ripples suit it, so that the cloth gains depth. Settle dust and mud rather into the lower parts of the folds; at the top they would look unnatural.
The add-on part itself is what is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
