A standalone detail set in resin in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It is not a model but a set of small protective guards for the periscopes that were fitted to American tanks during the Second World War. These cast guards protected the vulnerable periscopes from shell splinters and damage.
Periscope guards were a typical fitting on American tanks, for example the Sherman family, where they increased the resilience of the vision devices. The faithful resin castings replace simplified plastic parts or add them where the base kit lacks them, and so sharpen up the look of the turret and the hull.
Separate the small parts carefully from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and sand them with respiratory protection. Given the size of the parts, work with tweezers and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Once primer is on, the edges come out well with dry-brushing and a wash.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
