A supplementary set of rubber for a car build in 1:24 scale. The name carries the whole size notation, so it is apparent what width, profile and rim diameter are the real subject. A model of the car is not included; this is a part that goes into a build.
The real subject is a high-performance road tire from the group called extreme performance. It came about for drivers who use the car on the road but at the same time turn up at slalom events and club meetings. Its mark is a stiff sidewall, massive shoulder blocks and relatively few grooves compared with an ordinary summer tire. The difference shows mainly in the stiffness of the side, which in miniature comes out as a sharper transition to the rim.
You bring a sidewall with raised lettering to life by passing a brush with a light paint and almost no pigment on the bristles over it. Before seating it on the rim, try fitting the part dry and check that it sits without strain. If the surface has glossy places after the mold, level them with a matte coat applied in two thin passes. It proves itself to work on all the pieces at once, so that they have the same shade and the same degree of sheen.
