What you are getting

An accessory from the field of wheels and rims for car models in 1:24 scale. Replacement wheels are among the modifications builders reach for most often: they bring a model closer to a particular real subject far faster than a laborious reworking of the body and they show at first sight.

The limits of the record

The name is truncated right after the scale and the figure, so it does not set the car, the form of the rim or the contents of the package. It can be told apart from the sister item HD03-0543 with the same name only by the part number. Before ordering it is therefore worth checking in the manufacturer's instructions which kit the set is reckoned for.

Preparation and painting

• The joints are held by cyanoacrylate glue; glue for polystyrene does not work here.
• Before the primer, wash the surface in lukewarm soapy water and degrease it, otherwise the paint will not hold.
• Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade at a distance from the part and sand the remainder down carefully.
• Check dry whether the wheel seats on the pin of the kit and does not rub against the inside of the fender.
• Paint in thin coats from a sufficient distance, and hold small parts in tweezers.

Who it is for

The set will appeal to modelers who want to swap the factory wheels on a car they are building for a different form, and it also suits as a stock for the spares box. It is not a finished model but an accessory for a kit, which is fitted only at the stage of assembling the chassis. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
