A set of fourteen-inch wheels with tires of a rally tread pattern in 1:24 scale, intended for the competition Abarth 131 Rally.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Abarth 131 Rally is the competition version of an Italian sedan from the second half of the seventies, which the Abarth racing division prepared for rallying. Its recognizable marks are widened fenders and deeply seated wheels with massive tires. It is precisely the wheels that are the detail anyone notices first on a finished model, and at the same time they tend to be simplified in kits.
The set brings complete wheels in 1:24 scale, that is wheel rims fourteen inches in diameter together with tires of a rally tread pattern. Fourteen inches corresponds in reduction to just under fifteen millimeters, so count on a small part that is worked with in tweezers.
First try dry how the wheel sits on the axle from the kit: the seating is different with every manufacturer and sometimes the hole has to be widened or, the other way around, packed out. Cut the excess material and the marks left by production away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder down, so that the circumference of the rim stays round. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting. Paint the rim and the tire separately and only then join them; you will save yourself masking around the circumference.
The set is for modelers who are building the competition car and want the wheels to match the subject better than the parts from the box. Choose a suitable glue according to the material of the parts and go by the manufacturer's instructions. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
