Steel wheels with hubcaps for Alfa Romeo models, in the version for a fourteen-inch diameter and in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A steel wheel with a hubcap was standard equipment on production cars for a long time, and it can be told from a cast rim at first glance: the smooth face of the disc, the row of bolts hidden under the hubcap and a simple lip. On older Alfa Romeo cars this form of wheel belongs to the base specification, while light cast wheels were equipment of the sporting versions.
Wheels in 1:24 scale in the version for a fourteen-inch diameter, with hubcaps. The inch figure refers to the real car: fourteen inches is 355.6 mm, so in 1:24 scale the rim diameter is just under fifteen millimeters.
Assemble the wheel dry and try it in place; only then glue it. Parts that are not polystyrene are joined with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not work on them. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder down so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the parts and apply a primer before painting. It is worth painting the hubcap separately: polished metal is best handled on a model with a silver lacquer carrying a fine pigment, and the disc of the wheel under it is usually in the body color or in a dark shade.
For builders of models of older Italian cars in 1:24 scale who want a period-correct steel wheel with a modest hubcap instead of sporting cast wheels. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
