Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the fictional Asurada G.S.X racing machine in the configuration for unpaved tracks, designated Rally Mode. This is not a replica of a real automobile but a car from a Japanese animated series about racing in the near future. The 1:24 scale matches the usual automotive kits, so the finished model fits into a display case among the other cars. The maker is the Japanese firm Aoshima.
Asurada is the main machine of the whole series and, in its world, is able to reconfigure itself into several standards according to the nature of the track. Rally Mode is the variant for unpaved surfaces: raised ground clearance, bulkier fenders and coarser tires in place of the smooth aerodynamics of the circuit version. The body stays single-seat and enclosed, with a prominent central cockpit and covered wheels, as is typical for this series.
With a body of such complex shape it pays to spend time on the parting lines. On parts shaped like this the mold seams often run across prominent edges, so level them with a file first and only then sand them with fine wet paper, otherwise you will round the edge off. Join the two halves of the body with a glue that has a longer open time, draw the parts together with a rubber band and let the squeezed-out material cure properly before you trim it away. Before painting, spray the whole part with a filler primer and check in sharp side light whether the seam shows through anywhere. Only then does it make sense to reach for color.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
