A plastic kit of the classic German BMW 2002ti sports sedan in 1:24 scale, made by Hasegawa. The model captures the clean period lines of the two-door 02 series. The package holds injection-molded plastic parts, decals and soft tires; glue and paints are not included.
The BMW 2002ti comes from the 02 family, which BMW introduced in the second half of the 1960s and which laid the foundation of the sporting reputation of the marque. The ti version was given a pair of carburetors and a more powerful tune of the two-liter four-cylinder engine, which turned the compact sedan into a brisk and responsive car popular in touring racing as well. It precedes the more famous fuel-injected tii version.
Spray the body with an airbrush over a primer and, for period elegance, go for a high gloss — the chrome trim, the bumpers and the window frames bring out the classic look. Mask the window frames carefully with tape before painting. Paint and fit the interior and the dashboard before closing the body, and finally fit the soft tires onto the rims.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
