A set of wheels of the Cromodora CD68 pattern 14 inches in diameter for building an automobile model in 1:24 scale. It replaces the wheels supplied in a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Cromodora is an Italian wheel make whose individual patterns carry designations beginning with the letters CD. Light wheels of this origin appeared on European sporting and series cars and are among the typical marks of period-tuned builds. The number 14 in the name gives the diameter of the rim in inches; in 1:24 scale just under 15 mm corresponds to that.
The set brings wheels of the CD68 pattern in 1:24 scale, that is a replacement for the wheels from the box. They will find use where a build is to match a particular subject, and where the parts from a kit do not reach the level of detail needed. The extent of the package, how the parts are divided and the recommended glue are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Seat the wheels dry first and check that both the diameter and the width match the wheel arches and the track of the particular kit. The axle pin tends to need shortening, while the hole in the center of the wheel needs widening carefully with a drill. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder level, so that the wheel seats perpendicular and the model stands on all four. Wash and degrease the parts before painting; the rim will come out in a metallic shade, to which a dark lift between the spokes gives depth.
The set is for modelers who build automobiles in 1:24 scale and want to bring the wheels into line with a subject or to give a build a signature of their own. It is an accessory to a build: paints, glue and tools do not belong to it, unless stated otherwise.
