Jolly Club was a Milan team that for long years belonged among the pillars of Italian rallying and that fielded machinery on the level of works teams. In 1980 Walter Rohrl with his co-driver Christian Geistdorfer won the Rallye Sanremo with a car in its colors, a pairing that at the time belonged to the absolute world elite. Sanremo was then famous for alternating tarmac and gravel in a single event. The teams meanwhile built the cars practically to measure according to their own ideas about the setup.
A degreased surface is the basis. Fingerprints contain grease, on which a decal seats only seemingly and after a few days the edges come away. Before decorating, therefore, wipe the body with a cloth dampened in alcohol and from then on touch it in gloves or through a soft fabric. While working, rest the model against a soft pad, never against a freshly decorated flank.
