This is an unassembled and unpainted plastic kit of an army off-road vehicle from the licensed Godzilla range of the American brand MPC in 1:24 scale. The package contains injection-molded plastic parts; check the particular number of parts, the contents of the sprues and the extent of the decal sheet on the packaging. The paints, the glue and tools are not included.
The real subject is a light army off-road car - the type of vehicle that in the Godzilla stories traditionally belongs to the military units responding. The open body with a flat windshield, a simple ladder frame and a sturdy running gear give the model a bold military look. A short wheelbase and high ground clearance are typical of this kind of vehicle, and in 1:24 scale even the small details of the interior come into their own, as they stay on view with an open body.
First remove the parts from the sprues with sprue nippers and clean up the parting lines. Glue with thin polystyrene cement, which is drawn into the joint by capillary action and does not clog the surrounding detail. Apply a filler primer before painting - on bare plastic the matte military shades do not take evenly and the joints show through. It is practical to spray the body with an airbrush, while a brush will manage the small details of the interior, the tires and the tools. Mask the glazing before painting. Apply any decals on a gloss surface and settle them with a decal softener; at the end, unify the surface with a matte varnish and pick the engraved detail out with a dark wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
