A kit of a two-axle utility trailer from the French brand Heller. What makes it special is that one set can be built into four different versions - either a trailer for carrying a motorcycle, or a version with side panels for bulk and piece goods. A trailer like this is towed by a passenger car, a van and a tractor alike.
For carrying a motorcycle the set holds a loading ramp, motorcycle supports and a winch. In the version with side panels and a drop tailgate the trailer becomes an ordinary working unit of the kind used in a garden, on a building site and in agriculture. In reality the load is secured with straps through the lashing eyes along the sides, which is easy to reproduce on a model with thin cord.
First decide which of the versions you want. The order of the build follows from that, as does which parts stay on the sprue. Glue the side panels on a flat surface, otherwise the deck will twist. Leave the wheels removable until the painting is done. The trailer comes off best with a hint of service wear: paint worn off the edges, dust in the corners and paler marks where the load slides.
The model is sold as an unassembled and unpainted kit. Glue and paints have to be bought separately.
