An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Fujimi, from its Inch Up line. The set captures the Honda Prelude 2.0Si sports coupe of the third generation. The model offers a detailed interior, well cast chassis detail and the option of building the pop-up headlights either raised or retracted. The parts are cast in several colors of plastic, including chrome-plated and transparent elements and rubber tires.
The third generation Honda Prelude made its name with a low hood, pop-up headlights and engineering that was advanced for its day. The 2.0Si version was one of the better-equipped forms, with a four-cylinder engine. The elegant, aerodynamic coupe became a popular representative of the Japanese automotive scene of the late 1980s.
Use liquid cement for plastic and finish the glossy body with a good clear coat and, if you like, polishing. Leave the glazing and the chrome parts until the end. For a faithful gloss an airbrush and fine sanding between the coats both prove themselves.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
