This item offers replacement wheels for a model of the light utility vehicle Hyundai Porter II in 1:24. It is not a kit of a car but an accessory with which the wheels from the Academy kit are replaced. The manufacturer is the Korean brand DEF Model, which has long focused on small parts of this kind.
On vans and small trucks the exposed steel wheel rims are the most conspicuous element of the chassis. It is precisely here that the fidelity of shape of the production parts tends to be weakest, because a simple pressed rim with a deep center is hard to release from an ordinary injection mold. Replacing the wheels thus belongs among the modifications with the best ratio of work expended to visible result, especially on a vehicle that stands low in a scene and has its wheels constantly in view.
Before fitting, clean the mating surfaces and try dry how the wheels sit in the wheel arch and whether the track width fits. The rims stand out best in a matte or semi-gloss color, which you dust gently with a pigment at the edge. It pays off to paint them separately from the rest of the vehicle and to fit the wheels right at the very end, so that they are not damaged during further work on the body.
Paints, glue and tools do not belong to the set and are obtained separately.
