A set of fine self-adhesive metal badges in 1:24 scale with accurately reproduced emblems and lettering of the Mazda RX-7 FD, or rather of its Japanese version the Efini RX-7. It is an aftermarket accessory from the manufacturer Quinta Studio, not a kit. The thin metal elements with an adhesive layer take the place of printed decals and give the body and the interior a realistic metallic look.
The Mazda RX-7 in its third generation (FD) is a Japanese sports car with a Wankel rotary engine, prized for its balanced handling and clean lines. On the Japanese market it was sold under the Efini brand. Accurate company emblems and type designations are among the details that raise the fidelity of a collector's model markedly.
The individual badges are separated carefully, placed on a cleaned and degreased surface and pressed down. Work with tweezers; on glossy paint it is a good idea to try the position out dry beforehand. The badges are not given a clear coat, so that they keep their metallic shine.
