An injection-molded plastic kit of the reworked Nismo R34 GT-R Z-tune supercar in 1:24 scale from Tamiya. The model was made from an entirely new mold and faithfully captures the aggressive shapes of the body: the widened front fenders, the cooling vents in the hood and the separately rendered front bumper. It offers five-spoke wheels of racing cut, large brake discs, an exhaust system and a rich interior. Masks and decals are usually included in the package. Check the exact contents against the instructions; paints and glue are not included in the package.
The Z-tune came about when the Nismo division took proven Skyline GT-R R34 cars and rebuilt them by hand into a factory-reworked supercar. It received an uprated turbocharged six-cylinder engine of increased displacement with an output of around 500 horsepower, a special chassis, brakes developed together with a top supplier and lightweight carbon components. It made its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2005 and is one of the most sought-after versions of the GT-R of all.
Apply the Z-tune's typical matte silver shade with an airbrush over a thin primer; stir the metallic thoroughly and lay it on a smooth surface at the end. The masks supplied make painting the glazing easier. Detail the engine bay and the interior before closing them up, and pick out the chrome and carbon elements with the decals. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic joints.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
