The real subject

The Nissan Fairlady 240ZG is the Japanese version of the sports coupe of the S30 series from the beginning of the 1970s. You recognize it by the extended front end with clear headlight covers, which is called the long nose, by the widened fenders and by the small spoiler on the front edge of the hood. An inline six-cylinder engine of 2.4 liters placed lengthwise at the front drives the rear wheels. The ZG version came about so that these modifications of shape could appear on racing cars as well, and it is precisely the racing execution that the qualifier FULL WORKS RACING in the name of the set points to.

Building and painting tips

The long hood is the most in view on the model, so smooth it more carefully than the rest of the body and spray a ground coat before the color. Fit the headlight covers only after the paint is finished and mask them beforehand, otherwise they get clouded by overspray. On racing cars the interior tends to be simpler and darker than on road ones, so shades with a low gloss come in useful. The recommended glue and the order of assembly are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
