Peugeot 306 Maxi Monte Carlo Detail-up Set from Hobby Design refines a model of the French competition special in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The extra aims at modelers who are building the rally version of the Peugeot 306 Maxi from the Monaco event of the middle of the 1990s. It is not a kit of the car but a set that refines the areas of series-pressed parts and helps to get a competition special up to the level usual with exhibition pieces.
The Peugeot 306 Maxi came about according to the rules of the time for the so-called kit cars. Against the series-production hatchback it was given widened fenders, a wider track, a naturally aspirated sixteen-valve engine and front-wheel drive tuned for asphalt. It was precisely on asphalt stages that it was at home, and in the mountain legs of the Monaco event it was among the cars that people waited for at the roadside.
Competition specials live off the contrast between a polished body and a technical interior, so set a different procedure aside for each of the two. First assemble everything dry, and only then glue. Fit the small components only after varnishing and protect the edges with masking tape. Add dirt and traces of use in moderation, as the model will otherwise lose the sharpness of its shapes.
The contents are conceived as an extra. The model of the car, the paints and the decals are not delivered with it.
