An injection-molded plastic kit of the Lancer Evolution X sports sedan with the internal chassis designation CZ4A, in the Ralliart trim, that is with the accessories of the brand's own motorsport division. It is made by the Japanese company Aoshima in 1:24 scale, the most common size for car models, which means a finished model about twenty centimeters long. The set is intended to be glued and painted; the model is not pre-assembled.
The Lancer Evolution X was the last generation of the line, continuing the long competition tradition of the brand. It was powered by a turbocharged two-liter gasoline four-cylinder with an aluminum block, and the power went to all four wheels through an electronically controlled torque distribution system. It was offered with a manual gearbox and with a dual-clutch automatic. The body received a strongly shaped front bumper with a large radiator opening, fenders with vents and, in the sporting specifications, a rear wing. The Ralliart trim refers to the motorsport division of the brand and its line of accessories.
It is best to paint the body before assembly, on a perfectly cleaned and smoothed surface. With a metallic finish it pays to lay a primer in a light shade, then thin coats and finally a clear coat that is polished once cured. Do not use cyanoacrylate near the glazing, its fumes fog the clear parts; the clear parts call for a glue intended for them. Build the interior and the chassis as one unit before you close the body. Leave the chrome parts to the end and degrease only the joint areas so the finish is not damaged. Apply the decals onto a gloss surface and set them with a decal softener.
