It combines a decal sheet with the license plates of South Korean taxis from the period 1973 to 1996 and a resin casting of the roof light, that is exactly the two elements that turn an ordinary model of a passenger car into a recognizable taxi. What the set is for

The set extends any model of a passenger car in 1:24 scale into a version tied to a period and a place. It comes into its own on a model displayed on its own and in a diorama with a street scene, where a taxi gives the scene context and movement. The resin part of the light is fitted on the roof, the plate decals on the factory holders of the body.

Building and application tips

First wash the resin casting in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue from the surface, because otherwise paint will not hold on it. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a knife and level the surface with abrasive paper; sand resin with protection for your breathing. Glue the part with cyanoacrylate glue, because cement for plastic does not act on resin. Apply a primer before painting. Lay the decals on a smooth gloss finish: cut them out closely, soak them in lukewarm water, move them into place, soak the water up and press them down. Once they are dry, seal them with varnish in the degree of gloss you want.
