This is not a kit but an accessory set for a model of a car in 1:24 scale. It contains decals for the police form of the Korean Pony car of the 1980s and a resin casting of the roof beacon. The combination of body markings and a beacon is exactly what turns an ordinary model of a passenger car into a service vehicle of a particular period and country. The Pony was one of the basic Korean passenger cars of its era and in its police form it belonged to the everyday picture of the streets of the day.
The set is intended for modelers who are building the service version of the car or preparing a diorama with a street scene of the 1980s. The decals are laid on the painted body and the resin beacon is fitted on the roof. The result is a model that differs from the standard civilian build out of the box.
Wash the resin beacon in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release from the mold, because otherwise paint will not adhere. Cut the casting block off and level the surface with abrasive paper, with protection for your breathing. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, because cement for plastic does not work on resin. Apply a primer before painting; if you paint the beacon translucent, it pays to lay a silver coat under the clear red or blue shade, so that the light comes across as alive. Lay the decals on a smooth gloss finish and once they are dry seal them with varnish in the degree of gloss you want. Large areas of markings settle better if you use softener and press the water out from under the decal with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges.
