The kit captures the Toyota Celica in the liftback body variant in a distinctly tuned form. According to the name this is the second part of a numbered edition for which Aoshima is responsible.
The Celica came onto the market at the start of the nineteen seventies and the liftback body was added to it as a more flowing counterpart to the classic coupe. The extended tail with large side windows gave the car a profile that Japanese customers knew from the period American sports coupes. Technically the car stood on the classic arrangement with the engine at the front and the rear axle driven, which made it a rewarding basis for sporting conversions already while it was new.
The long side surface is the most conspicuous thing on a finished model, so before painting look at it against the light from a sharp angle and fill the scratches with a filler primer. Fit the wide fender flares only after the finish has dried, otherwise a step will arise in the paint. Leave the wheels and tires for the very end, because they are most easily damaged by handling. Secure the glass with a glue that does not fog.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
