This item is not a kit of the whole car: in it Hobby Design offers extras with which you will carry the modern Supra through to an exhibition form. Which kit in 1:24 scale the set is intended for you will find out from the name of the product; details about the contents of the package are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. The target kit is the Tamiya 24351.
The GR Supra of the fifth generation returned one of the most famous Toyota names to the market after a long seventeen-year pause. It came about in cooperation with BMW, under the hood it carries a turbocharged inline six and the development was backed by the Gazoo Racing sporting division. The short wheelbase, the long hood and the muscular sides make the car a spectacular real subject that positively calls for careful finishing, as modern cars are full of fine graphics and articulated surfaces that decide the overall impression.
Modern cars have intricately shaped areas around the lights and the intake openings; bend the extras over the rounded shapes step by step, never all at once. Separate two-tone combinations of paint with quality masking tape, polish the edges carefully after taking the mask off and unify the whole at the end with a layer of clear varnish for an even gloss.
The intake openings in the nose and the vents behind the front wheels look simple on photographs of the Supra, but in reality they have several levels of depth. By darkening their insides and accenting the edges finely you will bring them to life more than with any further part. The rear diffuser under the bumper deserves the same care.
