Soviet license plates in 1:24 scale in the pattern to State Standard 3207-77, that is in the form used from roughly 1980 to 1994. The sheet is a typesetting one, so you compose the plate from individual letters and numerals and are not tied to a ready-made combination. According to the name the use is not limited to a particular kit; the scale of the model is what matters.
The method of application differs between the individual Quinta lines, so follow the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with this set. Preparing the surface does not change: paint the place for the plate, let it dry completely and degrease the surface. Transfer the characters with tweezers with fine jaws, set them one at a time and keep checking from a distance whether the line is running out of true. It pays to try the layout dry, because once a character is placed and pressed down it is hard to move.
The sheet suits the building of Soviet cars in 1:24 scale and dioramas where each vehicle needs a different combination of characters. It will be appreciated by modelers who care about a period-correct detail and do not want to paint or print the plate at home. It also suits cases where you are building several cars of one series and need them to differ by more than the color of the body. Given the size of the characters it pays to have a pair of tweezers set aside for fine work and to work in good light.
The model of the car, paints, varnishes and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
