This product is not a model of a car but an accessory set of wheels for automobile models in 1:24 from the tuning range of the Japanese firm Aoshima. It holds chrome-plated rims in the style of the 20-inch Work Bersaglio Spoke III MF wheels, rubber tires and decals. It serves to let the modeler swap the wheels supplied in the base kit for a more striking tuning version.
On a car model the wheels are the detail the eye notices first; they change the character of the car more than almost anything else. An accessory set allows the car to be built in the form that a modified automobile on large-diameter rims has, without any laborious reworking of the original parts from the kit. Rubber tires also look more realistic than a hard plastic molding.
First try the rims in the tires and check whether the hub sits on the axle stub of the base kit; on some models the stub has to be shortened or, on the contrary, packed out so that the wheel does not stand proud. Scrape the plated layer away where you are gluing, otherwise the glue will not hold. Do not paint the tires with ordinary paints for plastic, as rubber takes them badly; for weathering it is enough to dust them lightly with pigment or go over the sidewalls with a matte shade. Apply the decals with the rim markings to a clean, degreased surface.
The set is supplied unpainted and without a model of the vehicle. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
