About product

DK Decals - Hawker Sea Hurricane (1:72)

A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale for the naval version of the Hawker Hurricane fighter, that is, the Sea Hurricane. The decals serve to mark the model you have built; the kit itself is not included in the package.

The real subject

The Sea Hurricane came about by adapting the land-based Hurricane for service with the Royal Navy. The machines operated from the decks of aircraft carriers and from the catapults of merchant ships and took part in protecting convoys from enemy aircraft.

Usage tips

  • Apply the decals over a glossy, smooth base for reliable adhesion.
  • Use decal softeners so that they settle onto the surface.
  • Once dry, overcoat with a clear varnish to the degree of gloss you want.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the Sea Hurricane in 1:72 scale.
  • Those interested in British naval aviation of the Second World War.
  • Collectors who want to complete a model with authentic markings.

The package contains decals only. The aircraft model, paints and varnish are not included.
