This plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya captures the luxury sports coupe Toyota Soarer 3.0 GT. The box holds injection-molded plastic parts, a clear hood for a view of the engine, decals and assembly instructions. The model has to be glued and painted.
The second generation Toyota Soarer made its debut in 1986, and the 3.0 GT version was the flagship of the range. Under the hood worked a turbocharged twin-cam inline-six of around 230 horsepower. The car combined the comfort of a personal coupe with the performance of a sports car.
Smooth the body with a surfacer and lay the paint on with an airbrush; a final gloss clear coat lifts the painted surface. The clear hood makes it possible to show off the detailed engine bay, so it is worth taking care over painting the engine and the chassis parts. Use liquid cement for plastic on the joints.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
