BLUE-PINK – FANTASY BUSHES from AK interactive are scenic bushes in a blue-pink finish for fantasy and science fiction dioramas and for wargaming bases.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not a model or a gaming figure but scenic material: bushes in a combination of blue and pink, which serve as low vegetation on dioramas, vignettes and bases. The manufacturer is the Spanish brand AK interactive, which besides modeling chemistry also offers a coherent line of scenic accessories.
The blue-pink combination is deliberately outside the ordinary natural palette, and that is why it works best where a landscape is to look exotic or dreamlike. Typically that means fantasy bases, science fiction dioramas, alien landscapes and stylized scenes where the color carries the mood. It also finds use as a strong accent in an otherwise restrained composition. The manufacturer intends the vegetation for scenes in 1:35 scale, so it suits military dioramas as well as collectors' figures.
The material is made by hand, so the shade and shape may differ slightly between packages - in the final scene that is desirable, on the contrary, because the growth does not look mass-produced. The bushes can be divided into smaller parts according to the density wanted and glued with super glue or with water-based glue. Vegetation that is strong in color is helped by restraint: place it in irregular clumps and complete it with scatter material at the foot, so that the transition to the terrain does not come across as sharp. A combination of two color variants side by side gives a scene depth.
