1:48 Messerschmitt Bf-108B TFace

Messerschmitt Bf 108B TFace - glazing mask 1:48 (Eduard)

A set of die-cut self-adhesive masks from Eduard in the TFace version for 1:48 scale. TFace means that the sheet contains masks for the outside and the inside of the canopy glazing, so the frames can be painted from both sides. The material is flexible kabuki tape, which follows the shapes exactly and holds even on complex glazing.

The real subject

The Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun was a German all-metal touring and liaison aircraft of the 1930s with a glazed cabin for four people. The extensive glazing makes masking the frames a lengthy job, which this set simplifies considerably.

Use

• Fit the inside masks first and paint the interior of the frames.
• Once the cabin is assembled, transfer the outside masks and spray the outer frames.
• Lay the paint on in thin coats and take the masks off once it is dry.

Who it is for

• Modelers building this type in 1:48.
• Anyone who wants sharp frames on a complex cabin.
• Airbrush and brush painters alike.

The accessory contains no paints; those have to be obtained separately.
