The F4U-2 was the night fighter conversion of the Corsair. It came about by rebuilding a smaller number of production machines and at first glance it is given away by the radar pod on the right wing. The equipment of the pilot's workplace differed from the day version as well, because at night the pilot had to work with an additional instrument and at the same time keep his night vision.
The SPACE line brings pre-colored three-dimensional elements for the interior equipment of a model. The elements have no adhesive layer of their own: only the backing paper is moistened, best with a damp sponge with a drop of detergent. You then lift the element off with tweezers, lay it directly onto the part of the kit and fix it with white water-based glue; the manufacturer does not recommend super glue. The scope of the set and the placement of the elements are shown in the manufacturer's instructions.
Level and degrease the surface underneath before applying. Lay the element down by one edge and only then press it, otherwise air will stay under it. The elements need no painting, the color and the shading are finished from the factory. It is better to complete the rest of the interior before the elements are applied.
The set is meant for a modeler who is building the night version of the Corsair and wants the interior finished quickly and without the laborious painting of small details. Even a less experienced builder can manage it; tweezers, water-based glue and a steady hand are enough.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
