A plastic kit of the German research vessel Meteor in 1:300 scale from Revell. The model offers a two-part hull, cranes and hoisting systems, antennas and masts, a stand for display and decals. The finished model reaches a length of over 32 cm.
Meteor is a modern German oceanographic research vessel deployed on scientific expeditions across the world's seas, from the Atlantic and the Pacific to the Mediterranean and the Baltic. She serves for comprehensive research of the oceans, and she is therefore marked by decks richly equipped with cranes, instruments and scientific apparatus.
The hull can be built as a full hull; while building, take care to glue the two halves cleanly together and to clean the seams up. On the fine parts, such as the antennas and the cranes, proceed carefully and glue with precisely measured cement. Apply primer before painting, and the deck details and railings will come out once they are brought up with a darker wash. For display, make use of the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
