This set of individual white metal tracks in 1:35 scale imitates T-51 type tracks with rubber blocks complemented by extended end connectors known as duckbills. Those increased the contact area of the track and improved the mobility of the Sherman tank in soft ground. The links are assembled one by one and joined with cut wire pins, which gives a fully workable run with a realistic sag from the weight of the metal. The manufacturer is Friulmodel, a specialist in metal tracks and wheels.
Clean the flash off the links and thread them onto wire pins cut to size; fit the extended connectors according to the real thing. To make the paint hold better, blacken the metal or spray it with a suitable primer. Tone the rubber blocks into a dark gray and leave the metal guide horns with a hint of steel and rust; bring the whole track to life with mud and dust pigments and polish the contact faces with graphite.
This is a metal accessory for a model, not a complete kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
