Metal road wheels for the Pz III and StuG III 1:35

A set of precisely cast white metal road wheels in 1:35 scale to replace the plastic parts on models of German tracked vehicles. It is intended for the Pz III tank in the Ausf. H to M versions, the StuG III assault gun (Ausf. B to G) and derived machines such as the Nashorn, Grille or Hummel with the wider track. The metal castings have a sharply rendered pressed disc and rubber tire, and their weight gives the running gear on the model a pleasing solidity. The manufacturer is Friulmodel, a specialist in metal wheels and tracks.

Use and painting

Clean any flash and casting residue off the wheels and fit them onto the axles of the running gear. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate); for better paint adhesion, spray the metal with a primer suitable for metal or blacken it chemically. Match the discs to the shade of the vehicle and the rubber tires to dark gray; at the end add dust, mud and a hint of wear on the contact surfaces.
