A separate canopy for the 1:72 Mirage 2000 C/5F from Geronimo72Art. An accessory for a model of the French fighter, not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft model but a separate accessory: a canopy, that is the cover of the cockpit, for the Dassault Mirage 2000 in the C and 5F versions in 1:72 scale from Geronimo72Art. It serves as a replacement for the canopy part on a model you are building. The material and the form of the part are stated on the packaging of the set.
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engined tailless delta-wing aircraft from Dassault. It first flew in 1978 and entered service with the French Air Force in the mid-1980s. It is powered by a single SNECMA M53 turbojet, and control is handled by a fly-by-wire system, without which the deliberately unstable airframe would not be flyable. The 2000C version is the single-seat air defense fighter, and the 2000-5F standard is its later upgrade with a new radar and MICA missiles. Both have a hinged canopy with a view in every direction, so the cockpit is very much on show on a model.
Leave the canopy until the end, when the interior is finished and painted. Handle the part by its edges, as fingerprints are harder to get off a smooth surface than they look. The frames are masked with strips of masking material; the interior shade of the frames is sprayed first and only then the outer color. Compare the shape of the part with the fuselage of the model dry before painting.
