A separate 1:72 EA-6B Prowler canopy from the Geronimo72Art brand. An accessory for a model of the carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for a model, not a model of an airplane: a canopy, that is the cover of the pilot's compartment, for the Grumman EA-6B Prowler in 1:72 scale from the Geronimo72Art brand. The Prowler has a cabin for a crew of four, so the glazed part of the airframe is markedly larger than on single-seat machines and everyone notices it on a model. The material and the form of the part are given on the packaging of the set.
The EA-6B Prowler arose by converting the carrier-based bomber A-6 Intruder for electronic warfare tasks. The front section of the fuselage was lengthened so that four men would fit into it: a pilot and three operators of jamming systems. Under the wing and on the fuselage it carried ALQ-99 pods with which it jammed enemy radars and communications, and it could also use anti-radiation missiles. It served with the US Navy and the Marine Corps from the 1970s, and in combat operations from Vietnam to Iraq it was often the only jamming platform available to a whole formation. The Navy withdrew it in 2015, the Marine Corps four years later.
Extensive glazing means a lot of frames and a lot of masking; count on this part of the build taking more time than on a fighter. Finish and paint the interior before you fit the cabin. Handle the part by the edges and protect the surfaces from dust once the model has it on.
