The resin kit 1:72 Caproni-Vizzola F.6M from SBS Model captures an Italian fighter prototype from the period of the Second World War and is intended for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin kit of the Italian single-seat fighter prototype Caproni Vizzola F.6M in 1:72 scale. It is released by the Hungarian brand SBS Model, whose range of complete kits in this scale rests precisely on resin castings. It is therefore a kit for experienced modelers, not an ordinary injection-molded plastic model.
The Caproni Vizzola F.6 was a family of Italian single-seat fighters designed at the end of the 1930s and tested during the Second World War. The Regia Aeronautica ran at that time into a long-standing problem with the power of domestic engines, and so the F.6M version received the British Rolls-Royce Merlin V12. The machine had a slender fuselage with a long engine section and aerodynamically clean wings, but it never reached series production and only a small number of prototypes were built. That is exactly why this is a subject you will practically never come across among ordinary kits.
First wash the resin parts in warm water with detergent to get rid of the mold release agent, otherwise the paint will not hold on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc rather than breaking them, and protect your breathing while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with ordinary cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting, which will at the same time reveal any remaining unevenness.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
