It is a precisely cast replacement seat for the cockpit, not a stand-alone model of an airplane. The detail part will replace the simplified seat from the base kit, and folding the belts from photo-etched parts falls away.
The A-10A Thunderbolt II, nicknamed Warthog, is an American ground-attack aircraft specialized in the support of ground forces and the destruction of armor. Its pilot sits in an ejection seat, which this part reproduces as a single casting complete with the belt harness. A realistic seat is one of the most conspicuous features of an open cockpit, so the eye settles on it.
Resin parts call for more careful work: wash them free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways when sanding. Paint the seat in the shades of the cockpit, set the belts apart in a canvas tone with metal buckles and bring the whole out with a dark wash and a dry brush so that the detail stands up.
