Eduard 1:32 A-20G Havoc seatbelts STEEL are photo-etched steel seat belts for the cockpit of an A-20G bomber model in 1:32 scale. They are supplied finished in color and are fitted into a separately bought kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set contains seat belts for the seats. The material is given directly in the name: it is steel, which against softer brass photo-etch holds the shape of a bend and can be convincingly rippled so that the belts look like fabric thrown loosely over a seat. The line the set belongs to is supplied finished in color, so the belts do not have to be laboriously painted. The set does not replace a photo-etched interior set; it supplements it.
The Douglas A-20G Havoc was a twin-engine attack aircraft in the configuration with a solid nose, into which fixed forward-firing armament was built instead of the glazed navigator's station. The G version became the most numerously built variant of the whole A-20 line and was used for attacks from low level. The crew cockpit is clearly visible on a model in 1:32 scale, so details of the seats and the belts show well.
Steel belts are stiffer than brass ones, so bend them slowly and rather in two steps than in one sharp movement. You achieve a natural sag by drawing the belt gently over a round object, for example over the body of a scalpel. Do not overcoat the surface finished in color. They are bonded with super glue in a minimal amount, applied with a pin, and it is good to seat the belts before you close up the fuselage.
