The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engined attack and bomber aircraft of the end of the Second World War. The B version had a solid nose with machine gun armament, so it was suited above all to attacks on ground targets. In 1:32 scale the crew cockpit is clearly visible on a finished model, and that is why it pays to give it some care.
Colored interior elements made by three-dimensional printing, carried on decal backing paper from which they are taken off. Colored means that the elements have their shades and their divisions finished from manufacture and do not have to be laboriously painted area by area; at the same time they have a real thickness, so on the model they do not come across as a mere drawing. The set is prepared for the Hobby Boss kit in 1:32 scale and it is the smaller variant of the set.
The sheet is briefly soaked in lukewarm water and the element is slid off the backing paper onto a gloss clear coat, which holds it; it has no adhesive layer of its own. A matte base is a mistake, and do not use a decal softener, as it will attack the printed resin. The areas the elements go onto should be smooth, clean and degreased; remove sharp edges and residues of glue from them beforehand, so that the element lies down over its whole area. Work with tweezers with smooth jaws and do not hold the elements with your fingers or press them with a fingernail, as the mark is visible on a colored surface. Finish the interior before you close the fuselage and fit the canopy, otherwise some places will be out of reach.
The set is for modelers who are building a large model of the A-26B and want a well worked out cockpit without the lengthy painting of small areas.
