A detailed resin set from Aires intended to improve a model of the American McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II fighter in 1:72 scale. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the exhaust nozzles of the jet engines with a more faithful and deeper rendering. The set is made of cast resin and replaces the simplified nozzles from the base kit.
Realistically rendered exhaust nozzles markedly improve the look of the rear end of a model, where the plastic often offers only shallow or simplified parts. The accessory comes into its own on a detailed build meant for display.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks with a saw and clean up the surfaces. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend painting the nozzles in shades of heat-discolored metal and finishing with a dark wash.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
