A set of painting masks for the A6M5c Zero in 1:32 scale from Eduard. They serve for accurate masking of the glazing and other areas during painting; the model itself is obtained separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
Eduard painting masks for the Japanese A6M5c Zero carrier fighter in 1:32 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki (washi) tape, follow the framing of the long canopy and the other areas exactly, hold well, leave no adhesive residue when taken off and can be used again if handled with care.
The Zero was a Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War, famous for its ceiling and agility in the first years of the war in the Pacific. The A6M5c version belongs to the late variants with strengthened armament and armor protection, meant to face the increasingly capable Allied machines. The aircraft served with the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service.
Stick the masks onto a clean, degreased surface, do not stretch them, and press the edges down with a stick or a toothpick so that paint does not creep under the edge. The Zero's long framed canopy is masked frame by frame. Spraying with an airbrush in thin layers is ideal, and the masks come off while the paint is freshly dry.
The masks are not a model. This is a set of masking tapes for the given type; the kit itself, paints and glue have to be obtained separately.
