A set of AAM-3 missiles in 1:32 scale from Reskit is, according to the name, 3D printed and contains four Japanese short-range guided missiles.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory armament set, not a kit of an aircraft. The name states that these are four AAM-3 missiles made by 3D printing technology, and the reference to the Japanese F-4EJ, F-2 and F-15J machines indicates which subjects the armament relates to. Printed missiles tend to have crisper leading edges on the fins and finer surface detail than parts from an ordinary mold, which shows most in a large scale.
The AAM-3, known in service as the Type 90, is a Japanese short-range air-to-air guided missile with infrared homing. It replaced older American missiles in the arsenal of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and brought better resistance to jamming as well as a wider seeker angle. It was carried both by updated Phantoms and by domestic fighter aircraft, and it thus became one of the recognition marks of Japanese machines from the turn of the millennium.
The thin surfaces of the fins are vulnerable while being handled, so take the parts off the carrier only at the moment you need them, and cut with a new blade. Before painting, rinse the surface and let it dry out thoroughly. Apply the primer in a thin layer so that the fine engraving is not lost. Fit the missiles to the pylons only once the finish on the airframe is complete, and transfer any markings onto a smooth gloss surface.
