A limited edition of the injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E fighter in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is a Dual Combo boxing - it contains parts for two complete models and is focused on the period of the Battle of Britain under the name Adlerangriff (Eagle Attack). Photo-etched parts, painting masks, resin extras and a rich choice of decal schemes come with the plastic. Check the exact contents of the box against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, was the main version of the Messerschmitt 109 in the period of the Battle of Britain in 1940. It was powered by the inverted Daimler-Benz DB 601 V12 and its armament consisted of cannons and machine guns. During Operation Adlerangriff the Emil met British Spitfires and Hurricanes over the English Channel and became an icon of the air war of 1940. The edition covers the E-1, E-3 and E-4 sub-versions.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and the photo-etched elements and resin extras with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the extensive cockpit glazing with the help of the enclosed masks and pick out the interior before closing the fuselage. In the large 1:32 scale fine detail and weathering both come into their own - after the gloss coat and the decals, pick out the panel lines with a wash and add graded wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories beyond what is in the box are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
