The glazing of the heavy bomber is dealt with by 1:32 Avro Lancaster B Mk.I Canopy And Windows Paint Mask Set, with stencils for the pilot's canopy, the fuselage windows and the gun turrets. Masking is done from the inside and the outside.

Three sheets of pre-cut shapes cover the windows and frames of the pilot's canopy, the side glazing of the fuselage and the glazing of the gun turrets of the four-engine Avro Lancaster B Mk.I. The shapes match the parts of the large kit, so cutting out dozens of irregular little rectangles with a scalpel and testing whether they fit falls away. The material is thin, so no step of paint forms under the edge and the frames stay sharp.
The sheets allow for the fact that the canopy of a bomber is masked from two sides. The inner shapes protect the glazing while the interior green is sprayed, the outer ones while the camouflage shades are applied to the fuselage. The glazing thus stays clear on both surfaces and does not have to be laboriously polished at the end. On a machine with that many glazed areas the difference in time and in the result is apparent at once.
Lay the stencil into the middle of a panel and only then press it with your thumb toward the edge of the frame; done the other way round the tape quickly wrinkles. Go over the frames with a thin layer of the interior shade, so that the transition to the glass is sharp, and spray the main shade only over that. Once dry, take the masks off with the tip of a toothpick, so that the clear parts are not scratched. If some shape fits more tightly, hold it with your finger for a moment until it conforms.
The package consists of the stencils themselves; the kit and paints have to be obtained separately.
