Replacement seats for a model of the Martin B-26 Marauder bomber in 1:32 scale. They complete the inside of the cockpit, which is well seen behind the extensive glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of replacement seats for building a model of the Marauder in the large 1:32 scale. The inside of the cockpit of the bomber is seen through the extensive glazing and the seat is its most prominent element. The replacement parts have a finer shape and sharper edges than an injection-molded kit offers in this place.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. It had a cigar-shaped fuselage and a fairly small wing area, thanks to which it flew fast but landed at a high speed. The crew therefore needed a firm hand, and the machine long carried a reputation among pilots as a demanding beast.
You will appreciate the difference most when you leave the cockpit open, build the model without figures or when you polish and lacquer the glazing to a high gloss. In a large scale the inside is within reach of the eye and the soft shape of the part from the kit stands out there just as much as the sharp detail of the replacement seat.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Seat the seats dry, verify the height against the floor as well as against the instrument panel and only then glue. Paint before you close the cockpit: a dark shade into the deep places and a lighter tone on the edges will give the inside depth even under the glass.
The package contains the stated parts. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
