A decal sheet in 1:32 scale for a model of the Bell AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter. An accessory to a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bell AH-1G Cobra was the first production machine designed from the outset as an attack helicopter. Against the armed transport machines used until then it received a narrow fuselage with two seats one behind the other, so its frontal outline is strikingly slim. Under the nose it carries a traversing turret with armament, along the sides of the fuselage stub wings with racks, and instead of wheels it stands on skids. Its use in Southeast Asia earned it the reputation of a machine that could support a landing exactly where it was needed.
A decal sheet in 1:32 scale with markings for a model of the AH-1G Cobra. Which particular machines the sheet covers, how the motifs are laid out and which kit they are drawn for are given in the enclosed instructions; that is also where you pick the machine you want to build.
They are classic wet decals. Even the surface of the model out with a gloss varnish first, because on a matte layer air stays trapped under the decal and a silvery rim appears around the motif. Cut the motif out as closely as you can, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it starts to slide freely on the backing paper. Then lay it against the model, move it into place with a soft brush and blot the excess water away with a cloth from the center toward the edges. On broken-up places, such as the turret under the nose or the leading edge of a stub wing, a decal softener helps. Once dry, varnish the model so that the edges of the decals disappear.
The kit of the helicopter, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
