Set of photo-etched parts in 1:32 scale for a model of the German Bf 108 Taifun touring and liaison aircraft. Metal sheet makes it possible to capture elements that are necessarily coarser in plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bf 108 Taifun is a German four-seat low-wing aircraft of the 1930s, built for fast travel over longer distances. Its all-metal structure, a cantilever wing with high-lift devices and retractable landing gear made it a very modern machine when it appeared. The roomy glazed cabin for four is its most conspicuous feature and at the same time the place where every shortcoming shows on a model in a large scale, as the inside is clearly visible from outside. The aircraft served for sport and long-distance flying and later mainly as a courier and liaison machine.
This is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:32 scale. Photo-etched sheet has a real thickness and a sharp outline, so it suits precisely the thin elements on which a plastic part always looks oversized. Which parts of the model the set covers is given in the instructions supplied by the manufacturer.
Separate the individual parts only when you are about to fit them, or the tiny pieces will easily get lost. Cut with a sharp blade on a hard surface and level the remainder with a fine file. Make the folds along the embossed lines. Metal will not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate or epoxy in a minute amount. Before painting, wash the sheet, degrease it and lay down a base coat. Fit the interior elements before you close the fuselage and seat the glazing.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
