A turned metal armament set, MASTER 1:32 Bf 109 E/T - MG 17 machine gun tips and MG FF cannon barrels, replaces the plastic parts with accurate metal ones.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a turned metal armament set, not a model of an aircraft. It contains turned metal tips for the MG 17 machine guns and barrels for the MG FF cannons for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the E-3 to E-9 and T versions in 1:32 scale. The metal parts have accurate geometry, a hollow bore and do not snap during handling the way thin plastic parts do.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 of the E series, nicknamed Emil, was the key German fighter of the early Second World War; the T version was intended for carrier service. These machines carried a pair of MG 17 machine guns above the engine and MG FF cannons of 20 mm caliber in the wings. It is exactly the machine gun muzzles and the cannon barrels that are among the prominent details hard to reproduce faithfully and straight in plastic.
Cut off the plastic parts and glue the metal tips and barrels in with cyanoacrylate onto degreased surfaces; it helps to pre-drill a hole in the remaining plastic. Turned metal holds a perfectly straight axis, which thin plastic in this scale usually cannot manage. Before painting, go over the parts with a base coat (a primer) and leave the muzzles cleaned up.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as an accessory to a base model.
