Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-4 Early Production is a plastic kit of the German fighter in 1:32 scale from the Hobby 2000 brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-4 fighter in its early production configuration, in the large 1:32 scale. The Hobby 2000 release combines good plastic with Cartograf decals and masks for the glazing. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Bf 109 F family, nicknamed Friedrich, brought aerodynamically cleaner shapes, rounded wingtips and a more powerful engine compared with the earlier versions. The F-4 version received a stronger powerplant and a 20 mm engine-mounted cannon. It was among the highest-performing Luftwaffe fighters of early 1942 and the leading German fighter pilots flew it on a number of fronts.
The large scale allows the cockpit and the engine section to be worked out in detail. Spray the glazing using the enclosed masks and glue the plastic with liquid cement. A primer, an airbrush for the period shades and a fine wash in the panel lines are recommended; apply the Cartograf decals over a smooth gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
